Sopra Center allows you to extend the Sopra experience to your Home Cinema. Sopra Center uses all the design aspects of Sopra loudspeakers in order to optimise integration into your home. The center loudspeaker is an essential component of home cinema systems because its role goes beyond reproducing just the dialogue. The mid-range must provide precision and coherence between the visuals and the soundstage. If the centre loudspeaker reproduces the majority of voices in the centre of the image, its spectrum is much broader and also includes music, sound effects and other sounds.

The Sopra Center loudspeaker is the ideal complement for the other loudspeakers in the Sopra line: Sopra N°1 bookshelf loudspeakers and Sopra N°2 or Sopra N°3 floorstanding loudspeakers. Each model in the line offers high performance and consistency in terms of output, rendering and scale. Each speaker driver benefits from the same technologies: ‘W’ cones and pure Beryllium inverted dome tweeters. The soundstage therefore, is perfectly dispersed: the sound emanating from either side of the image is reproduced without variation of the timbre.

Like all products in the Sopra line, Sopra Center is available in the Black Lacquer finish.

Our teams have revealed resonances which alter definition in the suspension which connects the cone to the basket. The solutions already known for increasing the damping properties of the suspension all result in an increase of the mass which consequently alters definition. The answer came from a technology used in earthquake-resistant skyscrapers and which is also used for the suspension on racing cars."TMD" technology consists of optimising the suspension profile which controls the resonance in order to drastically reduce distortion and increase the definition of bass and midrange.

Since the beginning, we have always had a great interest in the magnetic circuit, an essential aspect of a speaker drive unit. The precision and detail of audio reproduction depends on the stability of the magnetic field. NIC technology (Neutral Inductance Circuit) permits to control the magnetic field and finally enables to master it in order to limit distortion. It decreases the effects of distortion and give the sound a very high-definition and an unprecedented dynamic.
